Further information at: www.bachem.com As Manager Sampling & Environmental Monitoring, you will assume overall responsibility for our newly established Environmental Monitoring and Sampling department. Together with your team, you will ensure that environmental monitoring, water sampling, and related processes are implemented in a GMP-compliant, efficient, and sustainable manner. You will lead a team of specialists and junior staff and develop the department into a competent business partner for production, quality control, and quality assurance. In doing so, you will create structures, promote employees, and drive the continuous improvement of our processes. Your Tasks Leadership and Team Development • Functional and disciplinary leadership of the Sampling & Environmental Monitoring team • Establishment, development, and long-term design of a high-performance organization • Personnel planning, resource management, and prioritization of activities • Coaching and further development of employees and specialists • Succession and competency planning within the team Strategic Further Development of the Department • Responsibility for the definition and further development of the Environmental Monitoring program • Ensuring GMP-compliant and risk-based monitoring of cleanrooms and production environments • Further development of processes, standards, and working methods • Optimization of sampling concepts, workflows, and resource utilization • Participation in the further development of the Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) Operational Responsibility • Ensuring the timely execution of all environmental monitoring activities • Responsibility for the water sampling programs • Monitoring of particle monitoring and microbiological environmental monitoring • Ensuring GMP-compliant documentation and data integrity • Responsibility for the availability of materials, equipment, and personnel resources Quality Management and Compliance • Support during audits and inspections as well as representing the department to internal and external auditors • Creation and evaluation of trend reports and key figures in the area of Environmental Monitoring • Ensuring timely and well-founded processing of deviations, CAPAs, and Change Controls Collaboration and Stakeholder Management • Close cooperation with production, quality control, quality assurance, and engineering • Advising departments on questions regarding cleanroom monitoring, sampling, and contamination control • Promoting open and constructive cooperation between quality and production areas • Representing the department in cross-departmental projects Your Profile • Degree or comparable training in the field of microbiology, biology, biotechnology, pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline • Several years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment, ideally in microbiology, environmental monitoring, aseptic manufacturing, or quality control • Experience in leading employees or functional leadership of teams • Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements in the field of cleanroom monitoring and contamination control • Strong skills in organizational development and process optimization • Experience in dealing with deviations, CAPAs, audits, and inspections • High level of communication and social competence • Ability to bring together different interests and develop sustainable solutions • High sense of responsibility, integrity, and role model function • Resilience, assertiveness, and a pragmatic hands-on mentality Our Offer: • A dynamic and rapidly growing work environment with internal development opportunities • Flexible working hours with the possibility of home office and the option to take additional vacation days with a reduced working percentage • Employee promotion through numerous internal and external training opportunities • 60% coverage of pension fund contributions by Bachem AG as well as the possibility for supra-mandatory provision with our elective savings plan • Access to the Swibeco benefits platform with discounts at external partners • Fresh, healthy, and diverse food in our staff restaurant • Diverse free sports activities on the Bachem Campus Would you like to drive innovation together with us?
