• 14 July 2026 • 100% • Indefinite duration • Lausanne We Are Recruiting Now! ##   ### Sustainability Compliance & Reporting Specialist, Coffee & Cocoa  ### Full-Time Position based in Lausanne  ### Starbucks Coffee Trading based in Lausanne, a subsidiary of Starbucks Coffee Company. This position will contribute to Starbucks' success by ensuring that our coffee and cocoa supply chains meet evolving sustainability and regulatory requirements, strengthening compliance readiness, improving transparency, and supporting responsible sourcing. Key Responsibilities ## 1. Stay informed of applicable and upcoming regulatory requirements for coffee and cocoa, ensuring that SCTC is prepared to comply or provide relevant data as input to the company's global ESG & compliance processes. 2. Stay informed of applicable and upcoming civil society campaigns aimed at engaging the private sector, particularly in "scorecards" and other similar transparency mechanisms, such as the Chocolate Scorecard and soon the Coffee Scorecard, ensuring that SCTC is prepared to provide relevant data if deemed appropriate. 3. Provide advice and guidance to SCTC and key stakeholders regarding EUDR, ECGT, and other ESG regulations and updates, as well as civil society scorecard efforts; respond to ad hoc company requests by providing compliance advice consistent with regulations and, where applicable, industry best practices. 4. Implement and execute all globally defined ESG compliance processes, coordinating with global and EMEA colleagues across functions and business units to ensure compliance is as seamless and efficient as possible. This includes, but is not limited to: • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Being responsible for SCTC's Supplier Risk Assessment (SRA) methodology identifying sustainability risks and potential compliance gaps and supporting Sustainability & Procurement teams in supplier engagement and management, including the implementation of global risk mitigation strategies such as corrective action plans. • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build strong relationships and ensure alignment with sustainability goals. Engaging regulators, industry associations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to stay informed of evolving sustainability standards and best practices. • Reporting and Transparency: Overseeing the development and submission of sustainability reports and disclosures to relevant stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance with relevant reporting frameworks. 5. Lead the coordination and consolidation of Starbucks' response to various civil society scorecard efforts, such as the Chocolate Scorecard and soon the Coffee Scorecard, ensuring all deadlines are met and that leaders understand the pros, cons, and risks associated with engagement or non-engagement. 6. Assist and advise SCTC during regulatory audits and investigations, whether from global regulators or internal audit. This includes preparation for regulatory audits and support in responding to media and civil society questions or alerts. 7. In collaboration with our Data Impact Manager, support and advise partners responsible for data monitoring to ensure data reliability and consistency. 8. Strengthen the team's capacity in regulatory compliance and disclosure through the development of training, tools, and documentation. This includes leading the development of dashboards and self-service tools to enable content owners to be autonomous. We would be delighted to receive applications from people having: ## Basic Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Supply Chain, Business, Public Policy, or a related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in sustainability compliance, ESG reporting, responsible sourcing, or regulatory affairs. Experience with global regulations related to sustainability, supply chains, or responsible sourcing (e.g., EUDR, ECGT, human rights due diligence). Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects and coordinating multiple stakeholders.   Required Skills:  Regulatory & ESG Expertise: Strong understanding of sustainability-related regulations, industry scorecards, and ESG compliance frameworks. Analysis & Risk Assessment Skills: Ability to conduct supplier risk assessments, identify compliance gaps, interpret regulatory requirements, and translate them into concrete actions. Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to collaborate across global functions, business units, suppliers, NGOs, industry bodies, and regulators. Reporting & Transparency: Experience in preparing sustainability disclosures, data summaries, dashboards, and reports compliant with industry standards. Communication & Advisory Skills: Ability to provide clear guidance, training, and updates on regulatory changes to diverse stakeholders. Project Management: Capable of coordinating complex compliance processes with respect for deadlines, accuracy, and documentation
