What if every student in French-speaking Switzerland could learn with their teaching materials, including with reading assistance software? This is the ambition of the LUMINA project, and you can contribute to it.

The CIIP is recruiting two positions for

Junior-level polygraphers or media technologists

for the LUMINA project for the accessibility of French-speaking teaching materials (MER)

12-month fixed-term contract, 100 %

A useful project for all of French-speaking Switzerland
The CIIP coordinates education and culture in French-speaking Switzerland, with the support of Ticino, from its General Secretariat in Neuchâtel. With LUMINA, it converts MER intended for students into accessible formats: readable by reading assistance software, equipped with interactive form fields, and always easy to use.

Your missions
The two positions have identical missions. With the support of the existing project team, you will:

• prepare the source InDesign files of the MER, designed for printing, and then structure them with a view to their accessibility, according to the graphic rules and best practices established by the CIIP;
• structure the MER content in a proprietary CMS tool intended for the automation of the layout of accessible materials;
• structure, reconstruct, and tag InDesign documents according to the internal directives of the CIIP and the Swiss Center for Specialised Pedagogy (CSPS);
• produce the expected deliverables: tagged PDF files with form fields, as well as editable .docx and .odt files facilitating pedagogical differentiation;
• adapt the layout to the specific constraints of each MER, as each presents its own graphic and accessibility challenges;
• create document variants and handle a similar volume of tasks with regularity, precision, and efficiency;
• collaborate with the project team and, if necessary, with external service providers involved in the audit and conversion of documents.

Your profile
Holding a CFC in polygraphy or media technology, or a title deemed equivalent, you have initial professional experience, ideally of two years, in a communication agency. You bring:

• excellent mastery of Adobe InDesign in its recent versions, including structuring/tagging, creation of articles, and management of templates;
• very good knowledge of other tools in the Adobe Pro suite (Illustrator, Acrobat) is an asset;
• experience working with a CMS (content management system) is an important asset: the logic of content structuring it implies is directly transferable to the work requested on this project;
• knowledge of digital accessibility (PDF/UA, WCAG standards), which is a plus;
• junior-level position: we are looking for reliable and rigorous people, comfortable with a sustained production volume and well-defined processes.

• good team spirit and ease in communication with other project participants.
