• Independently and alone manage the department secretariat and support the paralegals
• Process and assign incoming mail, e-mail, and work
• Process and send correspondence in German, French, and English
• Take telephone calls in German, French, and English
• Provide telephone and written information and ensure the telephone accessibility of the department

This makes you unique

• Commercial or equivalent training with several years of professional experience; interest in international and legal issues
• Good user knowledge of the MS Office suite
• Quick comprehension; proactive, reliable, high degree of independence and commitment; organizational talent and team-tested
• Resilience, empathy, and the ability to keep a cool head even in hectic situations
• Very good oral and written knowledge of two official languages; English skills and knowledge of a third official language are an advantage

The Federal Office of Justice (BJ) is the legal competence center of the Confederation. It manages legislative projects in state, administrative, private, and criminal law. The office accompanies all legislative business of the Confederation in an advisory capacity and works with foreign authorities in the field of legal assistance and extradition. The BJ represents Switzerland in numerous international organizations and before the European Court of Human Rights. It carries out its business in a multilingual environment.
