In this role, you will sit at the important intersection of medical science, regulatory requirements and clear, responsible communication. As Medical Review and Affairs Manager for Switzerland, you will provide medical, scientific and regulatory expertise and act as the legally required person responsible for advertising in accordance with Art. 25 AWV (Arzneimittel-Werbeverordnung).

Your work will help ensure that promotional and non-promotional materials are scientifically accurate, balanced and aligned with Swiss regulatory requirements. It is a detail-focused role, but one with real impact: by bringing structure, sound judgement and medical expertise to the review process, you will help support high-quality communication around clinical data, scientific evidence and local promotional and non-promotional initiatives.

Working closely with colleagues across Medical, Commercial and other functions, you will be a trusted partner in the review and approval of materials, helping teams use scientific information appropriately in both internal and external communications. The role is well suited to someone who enjoys precision, collaboration and the opportunity to make complex information clear, compliant and meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the designated Person Responsible for Advertising in accordance with Art. 25 AWV.
  • Review and approve promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy, balance and compliance with Swiss requirements.
  • Maintain the legally required archive of promotional materials and act as key contact for Swissmedic on advertising-related matters.
  • Apply medical and scientific expertise to assess clinical data, scientific evidence and relevant treatment developments.
  • Provide medical and scientific guidance to internal teams, including support for KVV Art. 71a–d reimbursement requests where needed.
  • Support local medical, scientific and educational initiatives in line with regional and global objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent, compliant and high-quality scientific communication.

About you

You are someone who combines scientific curiosity with a careful eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility. You enjoy working in a structured way, but you are also pragmatic, collaborative and able to keep things moving in a dynamic environment. Others see you as a trusted partner who brings clarity, calm judgement and high ethical standards to complex questions. You communicate with confidence and care, build good relationships across functions and feel motivated by contributing to work that ultimately supports people living with rare diseases.

Required Background

  • University degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or Life Sciences .
  • Experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Science, Medical Review, Regulatory Affairs and/or the Swiss pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of Swiss therapeutic products legislation, including HMG, AWV, VAEA and Swissmedic requirements.
  • Experience reviewing and approving promotional and scientific materials.
  • Ability to evaluate complex clinical data and translate scientific information into balanced, compliant communication.
  • Good understanding of the Swiss healthcare environment and relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Fluency in German and English, with confidence using modern IT and office systems.

Desired:
