The Asylum and Refugee Affairs Office (DAF) of the Health and Social Department is responsible for the strategic and operational management of asylum and refugee affairs in the canton of Luzern. With its around 400 committed employees, the DAF, in addition to accommodation and care, also ensures social assistance for persons from the asylum and refugee sector and promotes their integration into society and the labor market. Your tasks • As the first point of contact for refugees in the canton of Luzern, you will receive and process their requests and concerns. You are responsible for managing the data - from registration to case closure. • You work hand in hand with the case-leading social workers and support them administratively; this includes, among other things, checking eligibility, calculating and paying economic social assistance, creating client budgets. • You take on important administrative tasks independently in connection with social assistance files (e.g. claiming child allowances, registering/deregistering AHV NE, health insurance, income management) and maintain competent contacts with third parties, such as health insurance companies, insurance companies, and authorities. • In this diverse range of tasks, you will be supported by committed and helpful colleagues and will work closely with the case-leading social workers. Your profile • You have a commercial apprenticeship EFZ or equivalent training. • You are interested in acquiring specialist knowledge in the fields of statutory social assistance and subsidiarity and social insurance issues.
