IT Support Engineer (80-100 %) The Zentralbibliothek Zürich is the cantonal, city, and university library and one of the largest libraries in Switzerland. As a public foundation, it is supported by the City and Canton of Zürich. In its role as a university library, it cooperates closely with the Universitätsbibliothek Zürich. With its mandate, it performs an important task for the successful education and science location of Zürich: It makes available knowledge accessible to science and the public, thereby setting accents on the way to the knowledge society. For our Informatikdienste department in the area of IT Services and Infrastructure, we are looking for, as of or by arrangement, an IT Support Engineer (80-100 %) Your tasks In this position, you will support the users and employees of the Zentralbibliothek Zürich with IT issues in everyday work and, together with the team, ensure reliable operation of the IT workstations, IT devices, and support services. In doing so, you will take on the following exciting tasks with us: 1st- and 2nd-level support for users and employees of the Zentralbibliothek Zürich Support of IT workstations, peripheral devices, printers, mobile devices, and multimedia infrastructure Inventory of IT devices as well as management of the warehouse, device issuance, and return Step-by-step building of knowledge in the areas of network and server infrastructure Active support in the further development of IT support and in knowledge exchange within the team Your profile Completed training in the field of computer science or equivalent qualifications Practical experience in IT support with good knowledge in the area of Windows clients, Microsoft 365, peripheral devices, and standard software Basic knowledge in network topics as well as interest in expanding this knowledge further Enjoyment of contact with users and employees, a good understanding of different concerns and needs, as well as a high service orientation Teamwork skills, reliability, and willingness to familiarize yourself with new topics Very good German skills in speaking and writing as well as good English skills Our offer An interesting and varied task awaits you, in which you can contribute your ideas and experience daily in an appreciative environment.
