A closed detention establishment, high security level, the EDPR is notably specialized in emergency reception, pretrial detention, behavioral evolution research and short-term release preparation. It also focuses on intervention in complex situations or involving psychiatric disorders.

Your missions
As a detention officer - kitchen workshop manager, you ensure the management of a professional kitchen and actively participate in the production of meals, in compliance with current quality standards, hygiene and safety norms. Supplies, stocks, supplier monitoring and compliance with the allocated budget are also part of your missions.

On a daily basis, you provide and complete the training of detained persons assigned to the kitchen workshop, accompany them in the acquisition of professional skills and evaluate them throughout this process. This support is provided in compliance with current regulations and security measures in order to promote their responsibility, their social development as well as their reintegration.

Responsible for the organization of work in the workshop, the distribution of tasks and the monitoring of services, you also manage the hourly statements of employees for their remuneration. Finally, you carry out all your missions through networking with different internal and external partners.

Depending on the needs of the entity, working hours may be irregular (night and weekend shifts) and you may be required to work in the cell sector.

Your profile
Titled with a CFC as a cook or an equivalent title, you are at least 25 years old and have experience in the catering field. Possessing a good team spirit, empathy and professional distance, you know how to demonstrate openness, listening and discernment, including during conflicts. Your natural authority allows you to enforce the rules, while embodying a model of exemplary behavior.
You have a good command of the French language and common IT tools. Knowledge of foreign languages as well as excellent physical fitness represent assets (physical tests and a medical visit may be required as part of the recruitment).
Prerequisites: residence in Switzerland; category B driving license; clean criminal record and extract from the debt enforcement register.
As part of your employment, you will follow the basic training leading to the federal certificate of detention officer at the Centre suisse de compétences en matière d'exécutions des sanctions pénales (CSCSP) in Fribourg; you will be sworn in.
