After 4 years, an evaluation procedure for tenure at the rank of associate professor is initiated (Directive of the Directorate 1.4 on conditional pre-tenure "tenure track") Activity rate: 100% The Institute of Sports Sciences (ISSUL) is the main center of UNIL for teaching and research in the interdisciplinary field of sports sciences. It brings together experts in human and social sciences (history, psychology, management, sociology) and life sciences (physiology, biomechanics, medicine, molecular biology) in the Olympic capital. Main missions: *Teaching (45%)* It will be a question of ensuring 6 hours of weekly teaching per year in French: A teaching exemption of 2 hours per week / year is granted during the pre-tenure period in the event of commitment at the level of assistant professor in conditional pre-tenure. The holder will ensure the supervision of Master's theses and Doctoral theses. *Research (45%)* The holder will develop their own research work in the field of Sports Education (disciplinary orientation: social sciences). Given the needs of the institute, psychology profiles are not a priority/expected. The holder's research will lead to international-level publications. It is expected that the person will be affiliated with one of the research centers of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences and will integrate into the Institute of Sports Sciences (ISSUL). The holder will proceed with the search for external funds, in particular with the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). *Administrative responsibilities (10%)* In accordance with Directive 1.13 of the Directorate, members of the teaching staff are called upon to assume administrative tasks within their unit, faculty and university. For the faculty, these tasks concern: participation in commissions and decision-making or representative bodies. *Desired profile* • Doctorate in sports science or social sciences or equivalent title; • University teaching experience; • Proven research in the field of Sports Education, disciplinary orientation: social sciences; • Excellent integration into international scientific networks; • Ability to attract external research funding; • Good knowledge of French and English, spoken and written; • Ability to teach in French within 2 years.
