Job Description

Position:

Athe head of a small team - including 1 Accountant and 3 Back Office/Operations employees, your main mission will include the following:

• Ensure the implementation and proper functioning of an administrative and accounting system adapted to the size of the company and the nature of its activities
• Ensure that operations carried out by the various stakeholders comply with procedures and legal and internal regulations
• Implement and adapt procedures for optimal operation of activities
• Control and monitor the Company's activity in order to minimize operational risks in general
• Assume management of risks related to the conduct of the company's activities, particularly in the context of asset management activity

Your tasks will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Daily control of the accounting journals of all operations, including stock exchange journals
• Control treasury
• Prepare bank, broker, forex, and custodian limits and ensure compliance with these limits
• Ensure the quality and timely respect of legal reporting
• Control the monthly financial statements prepared by the accounting department
• Ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory principles regarding accounting (quality and timeliness)
• Ensure the implementation of audit recommendations
• Replace the accountant in case of absences
• Participate in various committees upon request from the General Manager
• Monitor and manage risks generated by the entity's daily activity
• Monitor Nostro investments, ensure compliance with limits, and control weekly reporting
• Ensure the proper functioning of the back office team, particularly regarding various replacements during absences
• Human resources with the preparation and monitoring of Salaries, AVS, and insurance
• Monitor regulatory updates, particularly concerning risk management, in order to inform general management and ensure their implementation
• Manage and coordinate projects upon request from general management
• In coordination with the General Manager, prepare the documentation and reports necessary for the Board of Directors

The position requires a full-time presence in the Geneva offices; teleworking is not possible.

Profile Sought
-----------------

Profile:

• 8-10 years++ of experience in accounting, control, and banking risk
• CFO/Head of Finance experience in the banking sector (or in a Big 4 where you have audited small banks in Switzerland/France etc.)
• You are used to working on the ground ("hands on/hands dirty") and not solely at the strategic and supervisory level
• * Enjoy managing a small team of accountants, finance professionals, and back-office staff
• Experience or supervision of operational risk and credit risk would be a plus
• You must also be comfortable with compliance-related risks - notably investments, transactions, fraud...
• Compliance-related risks
• Certain exposure to treasury management and any related HR issues is also a plus
• You are capable of leading a small team and having a pragmatic approach
• French native language, fluent English
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to commit to a full-time office job, at 100%
• Swiss resident preferred, but cross-border resident also possible
