Since 1961, Progin has stood for handmade chocolate, pralines, and patisserie from Biel. At Bahnhofstrasse, we operate our chocolaterie boutique with a café and to-go offer. Everything we sell is created in our own manufacture – just a few meters behind the shop counter.

For our boutique, we are looking for a manager, starting immediately or by arrangement, who runs the shop as if it were her own.

This is your task

• You manage the boutique operationally and bear responsibility for turnover, presentation, and daily operations
• You lead the sales team, create the duty roster, and are the first point of contact for your employees
• You advise and serve our customers yourself – with joy in chocolate and in people
• You manage our café and to-go concept with coffee, matcha, and patisserie to take away and develop it further with us
• You are responsible for processing Uber-Eats orders – from receipt to punctual handover to the courier
• You are responsible for product presentation, orders for the shop, stock levels, and the cash register
• You work closely with production, patisserie, and management so that the shop counter and manufacture work together
• You look after corporate customers and special orders (gift boxes, logo pralines, cakes) from the inquiry to the handover

This is what you bring with you

• Completed training in retail, gastronomy, or the confectionery industry
• At least three years of experience in sales, of which at least one year with leadership responsibility
• Gastronomy experience is an advantage – you know how a café runs in daily business and what good coffee needs
• German at native speaker level and very good French skills in spoken and written form – our clientele is bilingual
• You are accustomed to high workloads and handle stress well – our business is open seven days a week, and during the Christmas and Easter periods, the shop runs at full speed
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays
• You remain calm and friendly when the shop is full, and you roll up your sleeves instead of delegating
• Experience with a cash register system and with inventory management
