The company Arte Konferenzzentrum AG consists of the 4-star hotel Arte and the 3-star hotel Oltnerhof, both located in Olten. The Arte hotel is recognized throughout Switzerland as an excellent 4* seminar and congress hotel, ideally located in Olten. The offer includes 12 modern congress and seminar rooms, equipped with the latest technology and able to accommodate up to 500 people. Added to this are 79 modern hotel rooms as well as excellent international cuisine at the "pure" restaurant with lounge, bar and terrace. The Oltnerhof hotel is a furnished hotel with 15 double and single rooms and has been part of the company since 1 January 2020.

To complete our dynamic team, we are looking for a strong personality with organizational talents and ability to assert themselves for a position as Head of Department (m/f) 100%

• Global responsibility for the smooth running of daily operations in the restaurant (morning, noon and evening service)
• Direction, development and operational planning of the service team, including apprentices
• Active participation in operational service with a role model function
• Responsibility for turnover development through an active presence in service, consistent sales and a strong customer orientation
• Training, coaching and support of our apprentices
• Training the team in service quality, concept, sustainability and allergens
• Implementation and control of hygiene, quality and safety rules (HACCP)
• Active management of quality and complaints as well as follow-up of customer feedback
• Participation in the organization of seminars, banquets, aperitifs and private events

What should be your experience background?

• Completed training as a specialist in gastronomy CFC
• Several years of professional experience, ideally in a management position
• Professional trainer certificate for specialist in gastronomy CFC & AFP
• Joy of working with apprentices as well as pronounced social and leadership skills
• Organizational capacity, sense of responsibility and stress resistance
• Strong service orientation and flexibility (partial shifts, evenings and weekends)
• Good knowledge of Swiss German required
• Knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage
