To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed person as

Communication & HR Manager 80-100 %

starting from 1 September 2026 or by arrangement, workplace Glaris.

Tasks

Communication and media relations (main area)

• Global responsibility for media relations and the representation of the cantonal police
• Handling of media requests (print, online, radio, and TV)
• Advising the force management and employees on communication matters as well as support in crisis situations
• Professional management of social media managers and development of digital communication
• Training of managers and employees in media and public management

HR and staff

• Support for the head of staff services in personnel-related matters
• Recruitment of police officers, civilian employees, as well as police aspirants
• Participation in recruitment, personnel development, and employer branding
• Coordination of external training and monitoring the interface with the police school
• Participation in projects and specialized groups

Requirements

• Federal certificate of police specialist or equivalent training at the federal certificate level with professional apprenticeship or completed maturity
• Ideally experience in media relations as well as willingness for targeted training
• Personality experienced professionally and personally, with a confident presence and a strong service orientation
• Interest in HR themes and personnel law issues
• Stress resistance, integrity, and flexible hours (possible interventions outside of office hours)
• Excellent oral and written expression as well as an autonomous and structured working method
