Do you want to build the technical basis so that AI really works in the company?
With our initiative AI for Operational Excellence, we want to use AI specifically where it makes our daily work easier, more efficient, and more impactful. The focus is on our support processes, for example in HR, Finance, GRC, Marketing & Communications, Internal IT and Logistics.
Our AI Solution Engineer finds the appropriate use cases with the specialist departments. You ensure that these become stable, secure, and scalable solutions. In the Internal IT, you help build the technical foundation and develop it further: data connection, Data Lake, BI, APIs and AI services. You work closely with the AI Solution Engineer and bring solutions from the prototype into secure, monitored operation.
You are hands-on, think in data flows and architectures, and like to build things that run reliably even after the go-live.

You are enthusiastic about... ##

• the construction and expansion of our data base for AI and BI applications, from Data Lake or Lakehouse, for example with Microsoft Fabric/OneLake, through databases to data models.
• the development of ETL/ELT pipelines and interfaces to our core systems such as Abacus ERP, M365/SharePoint, ITSM and HR systems, so that data is available in the required quality, timeliness and structure.
• the development and operation of APIs and connectors through which AI solutions, Copilots and Agents can access data and applications securely.
• the implementation of technical building blocks for GenAI solutions, for example RAG pipelines, vector search, model configuration and agent tools in Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI and Copilot Studio.
• the construction and further development of semantic models, Power-BI solutions and AI-supported management reportings.
• the transfer of prototypes into productive use together with our AI Solution Engineer, including deployment, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, cost control and evaluation of AI results.
• the anchoring of authorization concepts, data classification, data protection and information security in every solution, together with Enterprise Architecture, Security and AI Governance.

You impress us... ##

• with a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Engineering or a related subject or comparable practical experience
• with 2-5 years of professional experience in System / Data Engineering, BI, Integration or Software Development; first implemented AI or GenAI solutions are a big plus
• with solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases, for example SQL Server or Azure SQL, as well as basics of data modeling and your experience with REST-APIs, JSON and common authentication methods such as OAuth/Entra ID
• with your understanding of LLMs, Embeddings, RAG and AI Agents and your motivation to continuously deepen your knowledge in this area
• with initial experience with Git, CI/CD or Infrastructure as Code, for example with Azure DevOps or Bicep/Terraform
• with knowledge of Abacus ERP, Power Platform (Power Automate, Logic Apps) or data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview
• with a structured, quality-conscious working style and the joy of explaining technical contexts understandably
• with good German (C1) - and English skills (B2)
