Sub-project Manager Mechanical Rail Vehicles

You lead and coordinate mechanical systems and assemblies of rail vehicles across all project phases. In doing so, you are responsible for technical specifications, deadlines, and budget within the sub-project.

Tasks

• Leadership and coordination of mechanical systems and assemblies of rail vehicles
• Planning, control, and monitoring of mechanical development and design processes
• Technical coordination with internal specialist departments as well as external partners and suppliers
• Ensuring quality, safety, and deadline specifications according to customer requirements specifications and standards
• Creation and maintenance of technical specifications, requirement specifications, and project plans
• Budget responsibility and resource planning for the sub-project
• Support of the project phases procurement, production, commissioning, and type tests

Profile

• Completed studies in the field of mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, or comparable training
• Several years of experience in leading mechanical development projects, ideally in the rail vehicle sector
• Sound knowledge of CAD software, design methods, and mechanical manufacturing technology
• Experience in project management and in the coordination of interdisciplinary teams
• Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form
