The employer is looking for a:

ASSISTANT MANAGER at 100% (reported profession)

Tasks:

• take care of the collection of furniture and other goods offered to us by donors;
• organize and distribute activities taking into account the capacities and conditions of individual community members;
• collaborate in maintaining an orderly, respectful, and safe community environment;
• contribute to compliance with rules and intervene with balance in case of difficulties or tensions;
• participate in shop activities, customer reception, sales, and cash management;
• collaborate in the selection, evaluation, preparation, and arrangement of received items;
• collaborate with the management and the group of managers;
• perform simple organizational and administrative activities related to the function.

Requirements:

• sense of responsibility and reliability;
• practical spirit, initiative, and willingness to learn;
• good physical condition, necessary for the home collection of furniture and other objects, even in logistically challenging situations;
• interest in the community dimension;
• sensitivity and respect towards people going through difficult situations;
• ability to listen and communicate with different people;
• ability to maintain clear rules and limits with respect, balance, and firmness;
• good ability to collaborate with colleagues, managers, and management;
• ability to organize oneself and deal with unforeseen events;
• good knowledge of the Italian language, spoken and written;
• basic IT knowledge or willingness to acquire it;
• availability to work on Saturdays in shifts for shop management;
• availability to perform, according to a rotation, an on-call service normally for one weekend per month;
• possibility to reach the Community in times compatible with any on-call interventions.
• knowledge of French, German, and English constitutes an advantage.
• preferably aged between 24 - 40 years
• driving license cat.B (and availability to drive Community vehicles)

• 100% occupation
• employment by prior agreement, fixed-term until 30.06.2027
• fixed-term contract for a duration of six months, with the possibility of continuing the relationship indefinitely.

Training and support:

• during the first six months, a progressive training and integration path is planned.

Indicatively, the path will include:

• a first phase dedicated to getting to know the Community, its rules, and its values;
• approximately two months of shadowing in the shop and in sales activities;
• approximately four months of training in collection, delivery, and transport activities carried out with the moving van, accompanied by the deputy director;
• an introduction to the organizational and administrative activities linked to the function.
• the duration of individual phases may be adapted based on the experience, skills, and training needs of the selected person.
