Striking industrial architecture meets bright rooms in a timeless style. Over an area of more than 1'200 square meters in Werk 1, a restaurant, a bar, a smoking lounge, a wine cellar, an extensive terrace in summer, as well as a seminar room and a hall for events can be found.

Werk 1 is located in the middle of the city of Gossau. Our clientele consists mainly of individual guests and banquet participants. The restaurant Werk 1 has 100 seats, a large garden terrace, as well as various banquet rooms for up to 300 people. We serve classic Swiss cuisine with a seasonally changing special offer.

Requirements / Strengths

• Completed vocational training EFZ and several years of professional experience in a comparable position
• Physical and mental stability, balance, and patience
• Personality with passion and competence for the hospitality industry
• Teamwork and conflict management skills
• Initiative and commitment
• Organizational and communicative skills
• Good manners

Tasks

• Production and preparation of dishes at the respective station
• Completion of necessary preparatory measures (mise en place)
• Acceptance and inspection of goods deliveries
• Compliance with quality standards and HACCP guidelines
• Support of the head chef in the areas of ordering and menu planning
• Instruction and supervision of auxiliary staff
