Cook with the function of Deputy Head Chef 100% Job Description

• Production of dishes in the hot and cold kitchen, as well as desserts
• If necessary, also for evening events such as school celebrations and aperitifs
• Assistance with plating at the menu station, setup and dismantling of the buffet
• Meal service during lunch service, direct guest contact is part of it. If necessary, assisting at the cash register.
• Active assistance in the compilation of the varied menu plans and offering concepts
• Daily orders, goods management and inventory
• Administrative activities as required
• Leading the kitchen team
• Application and control of the cleaning and hygiene concept according to HACCP
• Various cleaning and washing tasks are, of course, also included

As it is a large-scale operation, it is essential that you have experience and can organize yourself accordingly to cook in large quantities.

We expect 200 guests at lunch.

As it is a school operation, the position is associated with having 13 weeks of vacation at the exact time as the school holidays.

5 weeks of this are paid and 8 weeks are UNPAID.

During this time, one has free choice to work in other businesses

Desired Profile

• You have a completed vocational training as Koch EFZ
• At least 5 years of professional experience in catering and the catering sector
• Leadership experience in the same position or as Sous chef and administrative experience
• Driver's license is essential
• Communicate confidently in German and can deal with both employees and guests confidently and professionally.
