Security Staff Order and Reception Service Federal Asylum Center 100% (m/f/d)

In the extraordinary and highly exciting working environment of the federal asylum centers, we are looking for flexible and well-groomed employees immediately or by arrangement. Together with your motivated team, you are responsible for the guarding of federal asylum centers. You fulfill security-relevant tasks in a sensitive environment and prove your human and service-oriented tact every day. You will be specifically trained for your tasks and assume responsibility for the protection of people and infrastructure.

Your tasks as a security staff member in the order service:

• Protection of persons and infrastructure
• Enforcement of house rules and security-relevant specifications
• Carrying out patrols and inspection rounds (indoor and outdoor areas)
• Personal searches and creation of effect lists
• Perimeter monitoring
• Reaction to alarms as well as intervention in emergencies and conflicts
• Dealing with recalcitrant persons while maintaining proportionality
• Support during evacuations
• Monitoring sensitive areas (catering, medication and pocket money distribution, cleaning services, medical consultations)
• Cooperation with reception service and blue-light organizations
• X-ray and control of incoming mail (location dependent)
• Escorting person transports
• Reporting of incidents and rule violations to the group leader (shift supervisor)

Your tasks as a reception staff member:

• Organization and structuring of reception processes according to instructions from the reception service management
• Carrying out a smooth reception, control, and monitoring service
• Operation and monitoring of security technical facilities (e.g., video surveillance system, fire alarm system, burglar alarm system, access control system)
• Implementation and compliance with all internal security specifications, guidelines, and data protection regulations
• Inspection rounds and object-specific monitoring tasks in the entrance area
• Administration, care, and control of material and inventory stocks (e.g., keys, IDs, technical material)
• Carrying out administrative tasks such as keeping protocols and lists, visitor management, ID creation, operation of the central telephone system
• Support during escalations, special incidents, emergency situations, and evacuations
• Reporting and appropriate documentation of security-relevant incidents
• Support during audits, inspections, and official controls
• Cooperation with interfaces (e.g., logistics, operations management, order service, building management)
• Participation in the continuous improvement of reception processes and service quality

You are responsible for our federal asylum centers Embrach, Zürich-Altstetten, and Zürich-Seebach and are flexibly deployable between these objects.

• Being available and flexible (readiness for 24/7 shift work, including night and weekend services)
• Having initial experience in the security sector or an equivalent field (Do you have no security experience? We are happy to support you and carefully introduce you to the field of tasks)
• Possessing proficient German in speaking and writing. Additionally, you master another national language or English minimum level A2
• Strong powers of observation and attention to security-relevant details
• High sense of responsibility, initiative, reliability, and discretion
• Friendly, calm, and professional appearance even in challenging situations
• Intercultural sensitivity and communication strength in dealing with the most diverse groups of people
• Resilience, teamwork, flexibility, and a well-groomed appearance
• Technical understanding in dealing with access control systems, alarm systems, and other electronic devices
• Ability for situation-appropriate de-escalation and compliance with human rights
• Readiness for personal and professional further development
