Caretaker

The employer is looking for a: CARETAKER (60%) (reported profession) Tasks: • technical systems: supervision and basic knowledge of systems (heat pumps, heating and cooling system, garage extinguishing system, smoke evacuation, photovoltaic, electric charging stations, dehumidifiers); periodic checks with completion of relevant reports; seasonal switchovers; monitoring of alarms and first intervention. • cleaning and care of spaces: stairs, corridors, elevators, entrances, laundries, technical rooms, garage and ramp; disinfection of contact points. • green areas and garden: grass cutting and care of flower beds, weeding, fountain maintenance, irrigation, seasonal foliage clearing, small plantings. • small repairs and basic maintenance to apartments: paint touch-ups, sealing, minor plumbing interventions, replacement of filters, restoration work in apartments during tenant changes. • waste: preparation and exposure of paper/cardboard and green waste; coordination with the disposal company and with the Municipality. • documentation: punctual recording of activities (photos, checklists, weekly and monthly reports) via the provided management application. • coordination and contact: interface with suppliers and external companies and with the administration; first point of contact and filter for requests from tenants and external actors. • availability: availability for evening emergencies, on weekends and on public holidays. Requirements: • availability to reside on-site (accommodation also available for couples or families). • basic technical skills, solid manual skills, with familiarity with technical building systems; ability to perform repairs in various fields and painting work. • suitability and availability for work at heights and with safety devices (harness, for example for cleaning solar panels on the roof) • good physical fitness for moving loads. • experience in green and garden maintenance. • precision, reliability and discipline in respecting deadlines and checklists; autonomy and sense of responsibility. • familiarity with digital tools (smartphone/tablet and task management application). • good interpersonal skills, discretion and sensitivity in contact with elderly tenants and with the nursery context • excellent knowledge of Italian; knowledge of German constitutes an advantage • driving license cat.B Employment details: • workplace Locarno • employment at 60% • employment from 01.09.2026, permanent • Sunday work and holiday work • salary to be agreed upon We offer: • accommodation on-site (with conditions to be defined) • monthly salary commensurate with skills and experience, in addition to a monthly flat rate for availability and interventions outside of hours. • varied and autonomous activity in a modern structure, in a stimulating human environment.
