The „Genussinsel Café Knaus“ is the meeting point for connoisseurs in the Mittelland region. We are an up-and-coming company and stand for natural, fresh, and high-quality products as well as friendly service. In the cozy ambiance of our Café & Restaurant, our guests enjoy seasonal and regional delicacies from the kitchen and sweet treats from the bakery & confectionery. The restaurant has 170 indoor seats as well as an additional 180 outdoor seats. We pamper our guests for breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner – a high readiness to serve has a long tradition in the house of Café Knaus. In the shop, our oven-fresh baked goods and delicious sweets from the in-house bakery & confectionery are recommended and sold, orders are taken and delivered. By agreement, we are looking for a flexible, passionate, and stress-resistant Cook 80 - 100 % to strengthen our 6-person kitchen team. Your areas of responsibility: • Main task: You sweeten our guests' day and make them happy! • Mise en place and preparation of the daily menus (sending 100-150 dishes per lunch service in a team of three) The great thing about it is that you have very varied work. You are predominantly at the stove (Saucier/Entremetier) but also at the pass or in the cold kitchen (Gardemanger). • Mise en place and preparation of the à la carte baker dishes and the special menu (seasonal menu) • Send dishes according to the specified „Café Knaus Qualitätsstandard" • Make suggestions for daily menus • Dishwashing and cleaning work (everyone helps everyone) • Implementation of our hygiene and occupational safety concept (industry solution) • In case of additional Sous Chef function -> operational deputy in the absence of the head chef Your working hours: 4 - 5 days a week (depending on workload), 42h week (at 100 %), days off are variable, weekend shifts (1 Sunday and 1 Saturday off per month), 5 weeks vacation, various shifts, no curfew: 08:00-17:00 / 11:00-21:00 / 09:00-19:00 / 16:00-23:00 Requirements: You are a passionate cook, "flexible" and work expeditiously according to a high quality standard. You need the daily challenge and make the difference, enjoy working in a team and in the interest of the company. You have "good German language skills" and weekend shifts are also no problem for you. You live near Oensingen, your strengths also include resilience, and last but not least, you have a pinch of humor to master even the hectic times well. You possess a federal "Fähigkeitszeugnis als Koch EFZ oder EBA or many years of professional experience" and are looking for a long-term and fair employment relationship?
