Head of Hospitality 80-100 % Das Bildungszentrum Emme (bzemme) is a cantonal educational institution with locations in Burgdorf, Langnau i. E. and Oeschberg bei Koppigen. Our offer includes bridge offers, basic school education, an apprenticeship workshop as well as educational courses in Higher Vocational Education. Around 250 teachers and employees are committed together to strong vocational education in the region. On the «Campus Oeschberg» in the midst of a spacious park area, the cafeteria and living/hotel services ensure the well-being of our learners, students and employees. As part of courses, seminars and events, we also regularly cater to and accommodate external guests. As of 1. January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a Head of Hospitality 80-100 % As a dedicated hospitality personality, you will work together with your team to ensure satisfied guests and smooth operational processes. Tasks: You take on the overall responsibility for kitchen, living/hotel, housekeeping/cleaning as well as room rental and manage the operation according to business principles. You lead your team (total 11 employees) content-wise and personally, promote cooperation and work supportively in the team (peak times, events, deputies). You bear the responsibility for offer planning and design, personnel deployment planning, goods purchasing, room and space management as well as other administrative tasks (e.g. accounts payable, cash accounting, price calculation, budget). You maintain close contact with the guests as well as your internal and external partners. You develop the offer, organization and infrastructure in a goal-oriented manner and contribute new ideas and impulses. Requirements: You are a warm and dynamic hospitality personality, feel comfortable in a school environment and enjoy further developing the operation. You have a completed vocational apprenticeship in gastronomy (preferably /Chef EFZ), relevant further training at the level of Higher Vocational Education as well as the Wirt-Patent (or are prepared to acquire it). You bring professional experience in a comparable function, have leadership experience and are resilient. You are an organizational talent, IT-savvy and work efficiently with MS-Office applications. You act with personal responsibility, independently and with integrity.
