Service Technician for Refrigeration Technology (Refrigeration Specialist) (m/f/d)

Job Description Performs all maintenance and repair work primarily on the Temperature Controlled Units (TCU) of our customers, including freezers (down to -80°C), refrigerators (-5°C), incubators, climate chambers, etc. (list not exhaustive). All activities are carried out in a GxP-regulated environment and may require access to EHS-regulated areas (e.g., ATEX, working at height, potent connections, …). Types of activities: Temperature mapping and support during qualification, Maintenance and calibration, Diagnosis, testing, and repair, Cleaning and decontamination, Handling of customer material, GxP-compliant documentation of the activities performed in the customer's CCMS/SMMS systems according to the ALCOA+ principles. Responsibilities Ensure timely, expert, and high-quality repairs of customer devices, Maintain high-quality customer service and support, Look for opportunities to improve business performance and enhance the customer experience, Communicate the benefits of the Value-Added-Service process to the customer, Draft maintenance and calibration protocols according to relevant standards (ISO, USP, …), In addition, integrate and support the on-site Customer Service Engineers (CSE) team by taking over frontline support, maintenance, and qualification of simpler devices, such as: thermometers, heating blocks, analytical balances, refrigerated centrifuges, … (list not exhaustive). Requirements Proven professional experience as a service technician for refrigeration/cooling equipment repair or in a similar role Valid authorization to work with refrigerants in industrial applications (Swiss VFB-K Art. 1 Para. 1 Let. B or equivalent). Federal Certificate of Proficiency (EFZ) as an electrical installer or authorization to acquire or possess specific restricted installation permits according to Articles 13, 14 or 15 of the Low Voltage Installation Ordinance (NIV). Previous experience in a GxP environment is considered advantageous. Business fluent knowledge of English and German. Further language skills are an advantage. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
