Office Manager*in Theater am Hechtplatz, 50-60 %

For our theater office, we are looking for a committed, dynamic, and culturally interested personality (starting at 50% workload, from 1.9.2027 60% workload) as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.

Tasks ##

• You are responsible for handling the financial and administrative affairs of the Theater am Hechtplatz and report directly to the theater management.
• In close cooperation with the theater management and Controlling PRD, you prepare the budgeting and are responsible for reporting as well as the accounts receivable workflow.
• You prepare contracts as well as settlements (guest performances, co-productions, cooperations)
• In this hub function, you are the contact person for our artists as well as the theater team and handle all types of administration and correspondence (including key management, archiving, minutes, office organization & materials) and are ready to work 4 days per week
• You work 4 days per week (mostly on-site)
• You coordinate the catering for our artists and are on-site at the theater 2-4 times per month in the evening to look after them as a hostess.

Profile ##

• Training as a Kauffrau/Kaufmann and/or commercial experience in a cultural operation or administration
• Sound knowledge in the application of digital tools (SAP, MS Office esp. Excel and Teams, ticketing and work planning)
• Excellent numeracy skills paired with very good German language skills
• Strong service orientation, a precise and independent way of working, as well as a friendly and competent appearance
• Team-oriented, reliable, and sociable personality who maintains calm and composure in hectic situations and enjoys theater

About us ##

The Theater am Hechtplatz was opened in 1959 and is a cabaret theater near Bellevue in Zürich. It has 224 seats and is operated by the Stadt Zürich, Dienstabteilung Kultur. The stage program consists of cabaret, comedies, musicals, chansons, and children's shows. In addition to numerous guest performances, three larger co-productions are performed per year; furthermore, the theater houses the Zürcher Märchenbühne. The monument-protected premises of the theater are currently being renovated until spring 2027. Therefore, we are currently presenting our program in Haus Seefeld.
