In the ETH domain, the two Federal Institutes of Technology Zurich and Lausanne as well as the four research institutes PSI, WSL, Empa and Eawag are combined. The ETH Appeals Commission located in Bern is an appeals body that decides on appeals against decisions made by bodies of the ETH domain. As a successor to our secretary, we are looking for an Assistant 80% starting from 1 December 2026. Assistant 80% Your area of responsibility: You will support and relieve the office consisting of four legal employees and the managing director. Your area of activity essentially includes the following tasks: Incoming and outgoing mail Carrying out all secretarial work, including correspondence Text control of legal texts in German and French according to commercial principles Ensuring the office infrastructure (technical flair for software and hardware) Carrying out business and pending item control including deadline control Assisting with the introduction of new business software Creating statistics for the commission meetings as well as for the annual accountability report Archiving Organization and preparation of meetings, contact with internal and external bodies as well as general secretarial tasks (telephone, mail, etc.) Reception and support of commission members Your profile: You have a commercial education and professional experience in a similar function (preferably at a court, in administrative justice or in a law firm). You communicate stylishly in German and have very good oral and written French skills. You work conscientiously, in a structured, careful and independent manner. You are proficient in using MS-Office programs (especially Word and Excel), a team player, flexible and have a discreet personality with a high understanding of service.
