Department: Finanzen & Services Start date: Per sofort or by arrangement Tasks As reinforcement for our agile, self-organized product team End User Computing, we are looking for you as an Exchange Engineer. In your daily routine, you combine operation, further development and consulting regarding our messaging and collaboration platforms. In doing so, you take on responsibility and actively help shape digital collaboration at the ZHAW. Your area of tasks and responsibility essentially includes: • Ensuring 2nd-level support as well as the stable operation of Microsoft Exchange (On-Prem & Online) • Operation, administration and support of Microsoft 365 with a focus on Exchange, Active Directory (on-prem and Entra ID), Teams, Outlook and SharePoint Online • Consulting internal stakeholders and supporting requirement clarification • Conception and evaluation of solution scenarios as well as making architecture decisions • Collaboration and technical responsibility in agile projects • Collaboration with M365 Defender on security issues and impact analyses • Operation and further development of SMTP relay connectors including message tracking and root cause analysis in the mail flow • Automation and maintenance of scripts (PowerShell), interfaces and operational processes as well as use of tools like TOPdesk, Jira and Confluence Profile For this exciting and responsible function, you need: • Completed vocational training in informatics (EFZ) with a university of applied sciences degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., University, ETH) • Several years of professional experience with Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft 365 • Secure knowledge in central M365 services such as Exchange, local Active Directory, Azure Active Directory/Entra ID, Microsoft Teams/Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint Online • Experience in technical customer consulting as well as in solution design to map business requirements • Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate these into technical solutions • Experience with ticketing and collaboration systems (such as TOPdesk, Jira and Confluence) is an advantage • Communicative flair and strong customer orientation as well as enjoyment of cross-departmental cooperation • Team player with an independent and solution-oriented way of working • Ability to assess technical and architectural questions and classify them strategically • Interest in continuous further education as well as active contribution to the knowledge culture in the team • Very good German skills in speaking and writing • Experience in a higher education environment or in complex IT organizations is an advantage A professional, helpful and self-organized team with clear roles, plenty of creative freedom and committed cooperation awaits you.
