About the position

Our client is a leading educational institution in Oberwallis, which is affiliated with the cantonal service for instruction and economy and provides a modern and reliable learning and working environment.

In this role, you will directly support the internal IT team in the first- and second-level helpdesk. You will be the central contact point for teaching staff as well as administrative staff and, with your solution-oriented manner, ensure smooth IT operations in everyday school life.

Your tasks

The task includes general IT support (Level 1 and 2), the management of the hardware park, and the support of the IT infrastructure.

• Provide technical first-level support for software and network problems for teaching staff and administration.
• Process IT disruptions in a structured manner and resolve them via the ticketing system.
• Prepare, install, and configure PCs, laptops, and peripheral devices.
• Support the maintenance of server and network structures (WLAN, Active Directory).
• Document technical adjustments and maintain the IT inventory.
• Accompany IT apprentices during their induction and in everyday work.

Requirements

• Native German language (Walliserdeutsch is an advantage)
• Completed training in the IT sector (Informatiker EFZ) or comparable qualification
• Good knowledge of Windows environments (Windows 10/11, M365)
• Basic knowledge in the field of networking (WLAN, TCP/IP) and hardware cabling
• Category B driver's license for assignments at two locations

• Initial practical experience in IT support
