Operations Manager 80–100%

For a young cleaning company in the Basel region, we are looking for a committed and entrepreneurially-minded individual as Operations Manager 80–100%.

The company has existed for almost two years, currently employs around four employees, and achieves an annual turnover of approximately CHF 300'000. The company was built by two entrepreneurs in addition to their existing companies and has been managed on the side so far.

Now, operational responsibility is to be gradually handed over to a dedicated manager.

Therefore, we are not looking for a classic corporate executive, but an ambitious personality with initial leadership experience who enjoys actively developing a still small company. Accordingly, the function is very operational and hands-on.

Your tasks

• Operational management of day-to-day business
• Leadership, deployment planning, and supervision of employees
• Organization and control of ongoing cleaning assignments
• Ensuring quality and customer satisfaction
• Support of existing customers
• Processing of inquiries and complaints
• Preparation of offers and calculations
• Support in new customer acquisition and the expansion of existing customer relationships
• Planning and accompaniment of special and basic cleanings
• Optimization of internal workflows and processes
• Close cooperation with the owners
• Active support in day-to-day business and, if necessary, also directly on-site

Your profile

• Initial leadership experience or experience in an operational responsibility function
• Independent and well-organized way of working
• Entrepreneurial thinking
• High level of commitment and a pronounced hands-on mentality
• Enjoyment of direct contact with employees and customers
• Pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working
• Good understanding of costs, quality, and customer needs
• Very good German skills
• Driver's license category B

Experience in the cleaning industry, facility management, gastronomy, hotel industry, or a comparable operational service industry is required.
