The culinary offering at Kasai draws from Asian, specifically Japanese, food culture. Originally planned as a pure Yakiniku restaurant, Kasai has built up a further pillar as an excellent Sushi kitchen. The novel restaurant experience has enriched the gastronomy landscape in and around Baden.

Do you have experience in service, enjoy taking on responsibility and do not want to just serve, but want to actively contribute to ensuring our guests enjoy an outstanding restaurant experience? Then we are looking for exactly you.

As Chef de Service, you are the central contact person in service and take responsibility for a smooth process, the leadership of the service team, and the quality of our guest care.

Your Tasks

• Overall responsibility for the service area during your shift
• Leadership, coordination and support of the service team
• Organization and ensuring a smooth service process
• Active care of our guests and ensuring a first-class restaurant experience
• Professional advice to guests regarding food, Yakiniku and Sushi
• Competent wine and beverage advice as well as corresponding service
• Active sales and targeted recommendations
• Coordination and care of reservations, events and special guest inquiries
• Receiving and processing guest wishes and complaints
• Ensuring and controlling our quality standards in service
• Training and support of new employees
• Control of service preparation and the Mise en Place
• Coordination between kitchen and service
• Ensuring a well-maintained appearance of the restaurant and the service stations
• Responsibility for compliance with our hygiene and service standards
• Control and ensuring of cleaning and disposal work
• Collaboration in the further development and optimization of service processes and the Kasai concept
• Support of the management with organizational and operational tasks

Your Profile

• Experience in service, ideally in a responsible position
• Experience as Chef de Service, shift leader or in a comparable function is an advantage
• Interest in Asian and especially Japanese food culture
• Ideally experience with Yakiniku, Sushi or high-end Asian gastronomy
• Host personality with a passion for direct contact with guests
• You present yourself confidently, friendly and professionally
• You possess leadership competence and social competence
• You can motivate and guide employees and also keep an overview in hectic situations
• Very good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility
• You work independently, structured and efficiently
• Well-groomed appearance and professional conduct
• Flexibility and willingness to actively pitch in
• German and/or English spoken; other languages are an advantage
• You are reliable, resilient and solution-oriented
