Business Analyst

This key role contributes to concretely improving the customer experience, reducing friction, accelerating the resolution of "problems", and sustainably strengthening the value created for our customers.

Your role

The Business Analyst collects and analyzes client needs, whether it is identifying weaknesses or opportunities for improving business processes, evolving organizational structures, or responding to IT challenges. They challenge them, formalize them into clear and structured requirements, and then identify the different possibilities for implementation in IT solutions.

They intervene notably in projects of digitalization and automation of business processes, as well as in activities of maintenance and development of software solutions.

On a daily basis, the Business Analyst works in close collaboration with Project Managers (PM), Product Owners (PO), IT teams, and business stakeholders. They ensure the creation of a common understanding of needs and ensure the link between business expectations and their translation into technological solutions.

In summary, the Business Analyst is a true facilitator of transformation: they understand the challenges, ask the right questions, structure the needs, and contribute to transforming ideas into value-added solutions.

Your responsibilities

Understand and collect needs:

• Define the process and methods used for gathering needs (workshops, interviews, event storming, etc...)
• Formalize needs, validate them, and transcribe them into requirements, specify them, and model them
• Map and describe processes as well as value flows

Analyze and challenge needs:

• Analyze the global functioning of business processes, organizational structures, and IT challenges
• Analyze the needs of internal and external stakeholders
• Document business needs through specifications and mockups (writing of functional specifications)
• Propose IT and organizational solutions to meet needs

Support implementation:

• Write user stories and acceptance criteria, feed the backlog with the Product Owner
• Participate in agile ceremonies and remain available to development teams throughout implementation
• Contribute to the definition of test scenarios and verify the compliance of delivered solutions with the analyzed needs

Your profile

• Technical sensitivity: you are comfortable communicating with developers and you understand the challenges of a software solution; training or experience in IT (development, integration, databases, API) is a plus
• Experience with agile methodology (user stories, backlog, acceptance tests)
• Knowledge of Swiss social insurance (AVS/AI/APG, PC, family allowances, LAMal) and experience with complex business software: a major asset
• Customer orientation: you reason in terms of customer success and experience
• Solution orientation: faced with a difficulty, you propose options rather than reporting problems; you are pragmatic and you like to move things forward
• Team spirit and interpersonal ease: you know how to unite business and technical interlocutors, facilitate workshops, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
• Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP): a plus
• Native French or German speaker with good mastery (oral and written) of the other language; knowledge of English: a plus
