Tasks ##

• Technical leadership of the kitchen staff, delegating tasks
• Long-term and short-term planning and organization of kitchen operations
• Administrative tasks in connection with business management (creation, monitoring, and compliance with the budget, orders, accounting)
• Design of offers and menus according to the nutritional guidelines and sustainability requirements of the Stadt Zürich
• Orders and purchasing from municipal and other suppliers
• Work in the kitchen operation; in particular the preparation of meals, plating, and provision of the food
• Implementation of "Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)" in the catering area

Profile ##

• Diploma Cook, Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ)
• Additional training at professional examination level, leadership training and certification, or willing to complete these
• Experience in a comparable operation
• Specialist knowledge of current healthy nutrition for children
• High social competence, resilience
• Skill in organization and work coordination of various processes
• Team and communication skills
• Independence and flexibility
• Good German skills (oral and written)
• Good computer skills (Office programs, online orders)

The Schulkreis Zürich-Limmattal (Stadtkreise 4, 5 and Quartier Sihlfeld Kreis 3) is a school district in the middle of the Stadt Zürich with its 14 schools.

We are a QUIMS day school in a multicultural district, 45 teaching and care staff, 6 AdL classes & 2 kindergarten classes as well as 1 care unit.
