You lead two well-established teams with two team leaders and a total of approximately sixteen employees. In this key position, you assume the operational and strategic management of the population services and support the department management as a direct representative in the management of the entire Population and Security department.

Your tasks

• Global responsibility for the population service with the specialized areas City Office, civil status and funeral office as well as naturalization
• Personnel and technical management of the team leaders and employees
• Ensuring a customer-oriented, law-compliant and efficient service
• Responsibility for the budget, financial planning and resource management
• Support to the department management in operational, organizational and strategic management tasks
• Participation in the strategic development of the Population and Security department as well as taking on transversal management and development tasks
• Representation of the department management and management of the department in its absence

Your profile

• Completed commercial training, ideally with professional experience in public administration or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional and management experience in public administration, preferably in the areas of resident services, citizenship law, civil status or funerals
• Proven leadership skills and experience in the development of employees, teams and processes
• Resilient, decisive and convincing personality with excellent communication skills
