Head of Procurement (m/f/d) – 100%

An internationally leading and innovative company in the high-tech manufacturing industry is looking for an experienced leader for a completely newly created position at the Swiss headquarters. In this key role, you will assume overall responsibility for the strategic and operational development of the local procurement organization. Area of responsibility • Leadership and Change Management: You lead a team of 25 (strategy, projects, operational and indirect procurement). In doing so, you actively drive organizational change, promote team spirit, and establish a modern, performance-oriented leadership culture. • Strategy and Optimization: In an agile matrix organization (functional reporting to Group Purchasing, disciplinary to the local management), you define and implement the local procurement strategy. • Process Development: Through efficient processes and clear governance structures, you create the basis for a future-oriented procurement function and resolve existing bottlenecks. • Negotiation: You are responsible for concluding complex supplier agreements, contracts, NDAs, and codes of conduct. • Performance Management: Definition and control of relevant procurement key performance indicators (KPIs) as well as the use of TCO and market analyses for sustainable cost optimization. • Supplier Management: Maintenance, expansion, and escalation management of strategic supplier relationships. • The position involves international travel of approx. 20 %. Qualifications • Education: You have a higher technical or business administration education (focus on Supply Chain Management / Procurement); additional business administration training is an advantage. • Experience: At least 5 years of verifiable leadership experience in a senior procurement function in an international industrial and production environment (focus on the manufacturing industry is mandatory; candidacies from the food industry unfortunately cannot be considered). • Technical Understanding: You bring sound knowledge in the field of complex manufacturing processes as well as electronic and mechanical components. • Digital Mindset: You are proficient in handling modern, multi-layered ERP systems (e.g., SAP or comparable international solutions such as IFS) and recognize potentials for digital process improvement. • Soft Skills: You are a solution-oriented change manager, grasp complex relationships quickly, and convince through strong negotiation skills and stakeholder management. • Languages: Proficient German and English skills in speaking and writing are required.
