Sous Chef / Deputy Kitchen Manager (m/f/d)

Introduction

On behalf of our client, we are recruiting an experienced specialist as a Sous Chef for a modern communal catering establishment in the Basel region. The focus is on high-quality fresh cuisine, dietary nutrition, as well as an active role in the organization and further development of kitchen operations.

Tasks

• Deputy Kitchen Manager in daily operational business
• Professional preparation of dishes as well as various dietary food forms
• Collaboration at all kitchen stations and support in daily production
• Responsibility for plating and quality control of the food
• Collaboration in the development of new dishes and modern menu concepts
• Ordering processes for meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, and other goods
• Active participation in menu planning, work organization, and quality assurance
• Training and professional support of the kitchen team
• Collaboration in digital recipe management and production planning
• Ensuring and implementing all hygiene and quality standards according to HACCP

Profile

• Completed training as Koch/Köchin EFZ
• Additional training as Diätkoch/Diätköchin mandatory
• Further training as Chefkoch/Chefköchin BP an advantage
• Several years of professional experience as Sous Chef or in a comparable function
• Experience in communal catering, hotel industry, or high-end gastronomy
• Structured, independent, and reliable way of working
• High service and quality orientation
• Creativity as well as enjoyment of modern nutrition concepts
• Very good German skills as well as good IT user skills
