Exciting tasks await: <br /> • Decision-making regarding the fixed-term appointment to office and regarding the removal from office of judges • Decision-making regarding complaints against disciplinary decisions of the supervisory commission and regarding other disciplinary cases • Assessment of complaints against decisions of the Obergericht concerning motions for recusal • Assessment of complaints against decisions of the Justizleitung and complaints due to denial of justice or delay of justice by the Justizleitung • Assessment of complaints against decisions on severance pay <br /> What you bring: <br /> • University degree in law (lic. iur. or Master) • Many years of professional experience, preferably as a judge and/or in an academic teaching function • Mature personality • Impeccable reputation and high personal integrity • Readiness to undergo the evaluation process by the Grossrätliche Kommission für Justiz <br /> Documents to be submitted: <br /> • Curriculum vitae • Academic and professional certificates • Work references • List of initial and continuing education over the last 3 years • List of scientific publications (if available) • Debt collection register extract for the last 5 years • Criminal record extract (not older than 6 months) • Report from the supervisory authorities regarding disciplinary proceedings (if available) • List of references • Indication of party affiliation <br /> Your working environment The Justizgericht exercises supreme supervision over judges in the Canton Aargau. It consists of three judges and three substitute members. As of 1 October 2026 (or by arrangement), a new substitute member is being sought. The election is made by the Grossen Rat upon motion of the Kommission für Justiz.
