For our HR team at the headquarters in Schaffhausen, we are looking for a dedicated and professionally skilled personality for a fixed-term employment. In this central role, you will ensure, together with the team, a reliable, timely, and legally compliant payroll for our group of companies operating throughout Switzerland.

Specialist Payroll & Personnel Administration (60-80%) Fixed-term until end of January 2028

What you drive

• Independent processing of the monthly payroll for around 420 employees in 7 clients
• Maintenance and processing of all payroll-relevant mutations in the Abacus payroll system
• Responsibility for withholding tax, including monthly settlements
• Collaboration in monthly and annual closing tasks in the area of payroll, including reconciliations, reports, and evaluations
• Contact person for various stakeholder groups regarding questions about wages and social insurance
• Ensuring high data quality as well as compliance with legal, insurance, and tax law requirements
• Creation of statistics, reporting, and other payroll-relevant evaluations
• Tracking of work and residence permits
• Processing of the monthly expense run in cooperation with the team
• Participation in the optimization and digitalization of payroll and HR processes as required
• Close cooperation with the HR team, financial accounting, and external partners
• Support of the HR team as needed in personnel administration, for example regarding joiners and leavers, contract changes, absences, and claims
• Preparatory work for the annual personnel cost budget

What you bring

• Commercial basic training as well as training in the field of HR specialist with federal diploma (eidg. FA) or comparable training in the payroll or social insurance sector
• Several years of sound experience in the independent execution of the entire payroll process in Switzerland - from monthly payroll processing to the annual closing
• Very good knowledge of Swiss social insurance, withholding tax, and ideally labor law
• Sound experience with Abacus
• Very good MS Office skills, especially Excel, as well as experience with reporting and evaluations
• Experience in general personnel administration is an advantage
• Exact, structured, and responsible way of working
• High level of discretion and professional handling of confidential data
• Service- and solution-oriented, team-capable personality
• Very good German skills in speaking and writing; French skills are an advantage
• Enjoyment in pragmatically further developing existing processes and systems
