The canteen in the state school facility Linde in Biel has around 200 seats and a garden terrace with approx. 100 places. Around 150 students and teachers are catered for per day. The range extends from break-time catering to sandwiches, snacks, and daily changing menus at the self-service buffet. In accordance with the ZFV philosophy, cooking is done fresh on-site with regional as well as ecologically sensible and fair-trade produced foods. Are you our new team member who will support us as a Cook: (80%) immediately or by arrangement? You generally work from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 14:30. For events, evening and/or weekend shifts may also occur. Your area of activity: • Preparation of the mise en place at the assigned station • Production of food at the assigned station (entremetier, gardemanger, saucier, etc.) • Ensuring replenishment on the menu lines • Regenerating / plating the menus during the lunch service • Collaboration at caterings, apéros, and special events • Goods receipt and management of the warehouse • Contributing ideas for menu design • Ensuring cleanliness and order at the assigned station • Carrying out general tidying and cleaning work • Implementation of ZFV quality and service standards • Compliance with and implementation of hygiene and occupational safety guidelines Your strengths: • Basic training as a Cook: EFZ or completed basic training as a Kitchen Assistant EBA • 2-4 years of professional experience in the kitchen • Experience in dealing with apprentices is an advantage • Good oral and written German and/or French skills • Ability to work in a team and willingness to learn • Enthusiastic <<Foodie>> and connoisseur • Passion for the cooking profession and enjoyment of guest contact • Clean and independent way of working With us you will find: • En guete Job • Dynamic working environment • Freedom for ideas and creativity • Scope for development • Corporate culture characterized by a sense of responsibility and trust online application: https://jobs.zfv.ch/koechin-koch-80-de-f4665.html?agid=20
