Legartis has a mission: to make legal work scalable.
We are setting the standard for AI-powered contract work. Today, we are building a holistic platform that changes how legal departments work, from review to negotiation, powered by our Legal Agent. We are looking for the person who shows legal departments how their own work will look with Legartis before the signature: with their contracts, their standards, and their questions.
At Legartis, you don't just take a job, you take responsibility. We are a team of product developers and lawyers. We don't chase hype; we build substance.
This is not a classic legal role and not a classic sales role. You are the legal and technical-expert voice in sales: You understand how a legal department works, translate that into a solution on our platform, and prove in the trial that it holds up.
- Discovery and solution design. Together with our Account Executives, you conduct conversations with General Counsels, Legal Ops, and legal departments. You ask the sharp questions: Which contracts, which law, which questions recur constantly, where is time being lost today? From this, you design a concrete solution: which Quick Actions, which Playbooks, which workflows, which integration. The result is a solution proposal that the customer can represent internally.
- Demos that convince. You build and deliver demos that create a real "Wow" moment, using documents and questions that the customer recognizes. You adapt them live if something does not immediately hold up, and turn a skeptical question into a stronger result.
- Trials and Proofs of Concept that convert. You plan and conduct trials with clear success criteria that you agree upon with the customer beforehand. The customer works with their own real cases, you accompany and coach. At the end stands a measurable result and a next step: rollout discussion, workshop, offer.
- Trust in Security, Data Protection, and AI Governance. You answer security and data protection questions as well as questions about the EU AI Act confidently and honestly, together with our specialists for Security and Technology. You know when an answer from the library is sufficient and when a conversation is necessary.
- Handover and feedback. After the signature, you hand over to Customer Success and Legal Engineering with everything they need: Use Cases, success criteria, expectations, open points. What you hear in the market (objections, missing functions, competition), you bring to Product and Marketing in a structured manner.
- Making it scalable. What you build once for one prospect becomes the standard: demo environments, demo scripts, answer libraries, trial templates. This allows sales to tell the legal story even when you are not in the room.
We are honest: people who bring all of this are rare. We hire based on suitability and attitude, test practically in a case study, and train the rest side by side, in real customer conversations.
- You can sell a solution (central). Not in the sense of cold calling, but the way a good expert sells: by making the customer successful in front of their own team. Concretely, this means you can (or want to learn to):
- Lead discovery that finds the real need behind the first question, and reflect this back in the customer's words (time, risk, capacity, cost per contract).
- Conduct a live demo confidently, even adapted and with high stakes, and react confidently if something does not immediately hold up.
- Transform objections into Use Cases. To "That doesn't fit us" or "We build that ourselves," you respond with a concrete path and with the honest costs of the alternative. You name limits openly, because credibility closes deals.
- Set up a trial so that it decides: clear success criteria, involved persons, schedule, next step.
- Ideally, you can name moments in which you influenced a deal, a renewal, or an expansion.
- Legal foundation. Solid legal education and practical experience with commercial contracts, from a legal department, a law firm, or the legal tech environment. You understand the "why" behind a clause and speak with General Counsels at eye level. A second state examination is welcome, but not required. Qualifications from other legal jurisdictions and unusual paths (e.g., Law and IT) are expressly desired.
- Technical understanding. You have worked seriously with large language models and know how to use them purposefully and where they encounter limits. You understand enough about SaaS, integrations (e.g., Word, CLM, SSO), APIs, and data flows to speak with the customer's IT and correctly classify a security question. You do not need to program, but curiosity about technology is mandatory.
- Structure and communication. You manage several deals in parallel, keep track of the participants, and document cleanly (CRM, handovers). You write so clearly that a solution proposal is understood without you. Very good German and English, other languages are a plus.
- Impact instead of hype. You shape a new discipline at the intersection of Law, Sales, and AI and help decide how thousands of lawyers will work in the future.
- Leverage instead of grind. You build the demos, standards, and templates that multiply your expertise throughout the entire company.
- We invest in you. Structured training on the Legal Agent, joint customer appointments from the first week, and a clear development path.
- Real participation. Competitive salary and employee participation (ESOP).
- Offices in Berlin, Leipzig, and Zürich with a flexible hybrid model, plus Apéros, shared lunches, and hikes.
- Getting to know each other: a conversation with our People & Oper
