Team Lead Engineering Sourcing & Purchasing As Team Lead Engineering, you will take on both technical responsibility and professional leadership for a small, powerful team in the Sourcing & Purchasing area. You are actively involved in development and shape the working methods of your team as well as the architecture. Together, you develop scalable, high-quality solutions that create real added value. You report to the Head of Engineering Business Applications and work closely with the Team Leads of other Engineering teams, Product Management, and relevant stakeholders. Team Lead Engineering Sourcing & Purchasing What to expect You lead, coach, and develop an Engineering team with a focus on personal responsibility, quality, and continuous learning You work hands-on in development - from the first idea to go-live You work closely with Product Management, stakeholders, and adjacent teams to implement modern and future-proof software solutions in the Sourcing & Purchasing area You use modern architecture concepts such as Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Self-Contained Systems (SCS), Data Mesh, and develop interface designs and modular components in the team You ensure high code quality - through code reviews, pair programming, and structured testing processes You optimize our development and operating environments (CI/CD, DevOps practices) and ensure smooth deployments What you bring You have several years of experience (at least 5 years) in software development, of which at least 1 year in a leadership role; ideally in e-commerce or similar You feel comfortable in short, agile sprints and drive automation forward so that your team delivers stable, functioning software You have in-depth knowledge of Java and SQL/data modeling, as well as experience with CI/CD and DevOps - cloud experience is an advantage You have pronounced communication skills and a leadership mentality - empathetic, clear, and motivating You create a trusting team environment, support an open error and learning culture, and use tools to strengthen motivation and cooperation You are familiar with modular software architecture, interface design, and asynchronous data processing You have a completed degree in (Business) Computer Science or an equivalent qualification Are you interested or do you have further questions?
