The Polizei Kanton Solothurn guarantees a high level of security for the people in the Canton of Solothurn - competent day and night. It operates an independent ICT infrastructure with an extensive range of highly available systems and applications. For the Kommandoabteilung, we are looking for a Head of Service Desk/Support and ICT Service Management, 80-100%, immediately or by arrangement at the Solothurn location.

Your Responsibility

• As Head of the Service Desk/Support and ICT Service Management department, you bear the personnel, technical, and organizational responsibility for an economical, customer-oriented, and high-quality service operation.
• You manage and further develop the company-wide ICT Service Management, are responsible for the configuration and continuous further development of the ICT Service Management tool, define and optimize service management processes, and ensure their uniform implementation as well as compliance with standards and quality specifications.
• In this function, you manage and optimize the service operation and initiate suitable improvement measures if necessary, in order to ensure a continuous improvement process.
• In addition to monitoring service quality and compliance with agreed service levels, your area of responsibility also includes the coordination of escalation management during critical disruptions.
• Your tasks include the management of ICT total and partial projects according to the project management method HERMES, representing the department in cross-organizational projects, and coordinating cooperation with internal and external stakeholders.

Your Profile

• For this position, you bring a completed IT education with higher vocational training or a comparable qualification, preferably in business informatics, service management, project or process management.
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in ICT Service Management, in the operation and support of ICT systems, in application management, as well as in the management of ICT projects and procurement projects, are required.
• You are characterized by strong independence, a structured and solution-oriented way of working, as well as the willingness to take responsibility and actively drive the continuous optimization of processes and services with a continuous improvement mentality.
• You convince through teamwork, assertiveness, and a professional appearance. With your communicative strength and your appreciative leadership style, you develop employees in a targeted manner.
• You have very good German language skills, are ready for extraordinary assignments and on-call duties, and possess a category B driver's license.
