The employer is looking for a: School catering assistant (reported profession) Tasks: • supports the cook in all phases of meal preparation and kitchen tidying up according to the cook's instructions; • applies, knows and respects HACCP standards; • knows and respects procedures related to dietary issues of the diners (allergens, etc.); • guarantees the smooth running of the service in case of the cook's absence and eventual replacement; • reports breakdowns, technical problems, need for products related to the kitchen or the machinery/equipment in use to the cook; • observes all hygiene standards and all prescriptions on safety and health at work and wears the prescribed clothing and personal protective equipment; • observes all hygiene standards and all prescriptions on safety and health at work and wears the prescribed clothing and personal protective equipment; • collaborates with teachers for everything concerning the smooth running of school activities, honoring the principles of the Code of Ethics of the educational institution. • may be called, upon indication from their superior, to operate during the catering service; • may be called to change and/or wash incontinent students; • may be called to provide service in case of emergency and to accompany students based on needs (dentist, etc.); • may be called to carry out ordinary and extraordinary cleaning work of the building and reports breakdowns technical problems, need for products related to the structure or the machinery/equipment in use; • may be called to take care of laundry and mending work; • reports breakdowns, technical problems, need for products related to the structure or the machinery/equipment in use to the site caretaker; • other work assignments compatible with their function and their skills may be assigned to them; Requirements: • previous experience in the sector from 1 – 3 years • ability to work in a team • good knowledge of Italian • driving license cat.B • owns a car Employment details: • workplace Lugano / School off-site Nante (Airolo) • occupation from 80 - 90% • employment from 03.08.2026, fixed term until 04.12.2026 • salary to be agreed
